Tuesday, March 22nd, 2005
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2 shacks removed today - 2 remain.
Sunday, March 20th - one shack removed completely, however, the last one, pulled near the shore and our best guess is that the truck was not a 4 x 4 and did not have the power to get it up where they could get it off.
Thursday, March 17th, St Patrick's Day, people back with 4 X 4 and removed hut.
Wednesday, March 16th - truck dragged one of the huts to about 30m off shore but got bogged in the soft ice and snow.
Saturday, March 12th, down to 6 huts. Long fisures and openings in
the ice - 2 metres wide in places.
Both were removed today, March 9th. The temperature is dropping to -12C tonite.
Tuesday, March 8, 2005 the temperature rose to 11C. It rained all
day and by evening winds went up, overnight exceeding 100 km/h. One
of the fishing shacks was blown over, and another was blown 100
metres into the bay.
